Golden ammonite charm necklace, small

This sterling silver necklace features a cast ammonite, its spiral form preserved in fine detail and partially enriched with 24ct gold using the traditional Keum Boo technique.
The original fossil was found by Marianne along the Jurassic Coast at Lyme Regis, shaped over millions of years and carrying the trace of its marine origin. Its natural structure is retained in the casting, allowing the form to remain clear and tactile.
The application of gold introduces a subtle contrast in tone and surface, settling into the form rather than covering it. The result is a gentle interplay between silver and gold — a contemporary intervention that sits alongside the deeper history of the fossil.
