Byzantium Sapphire and Apatite Earrings

These elegant earrings are inspired by the colour richness and quiet grandeur of Byzantium mosaics, where gemstones were used to convey depth, light and balance rather than excess.
Each earring features a mesmerising grey, facet-cut sapphire as the centrepiece, paired with a smaller bright blue, facet-cut apatite above. The cool tonal contrast between the two stones creates a refined yet luminous expression.
Both gemstones are freeform in character and are set in hand-built bezels made from recycled sterling silver. Each bezel is individually shaped to fit its stone, celebrating natural variation and skilled craftsmanship. The result is a pair of earrings that feel considered, elegant and unmistakably unique.
